Eurotrip - Salzburg

Every year, me and my husband dream about a snowy winter. We both have memories from our childhood about sleds, ice skates and snowmen. This year we decided to recapture those memories by spending Christmas and new years' eve in Europe.
The trip that we decided to make was - Salzburg, Vienna and Munich. All the journeys in Europe were made by train.

First destination - Salzburg
The main reason that attracted us to Salzburg was the Christmas Markets. Those are especially magical in this city but it is worth a visit in any season. Salzburg is the city where "The Sounds of The Music" was filmed and where Mozart was born.

כל שנה בעלי ואני חולמים על חורף מושלג. לשנינו יש זיכרונות מהילדות  על מזחלות ,מחליקיים ובובות שלג. השנה החלטנו לשחזר אותם חורפים קרים ולבלות את הקריסמס והסילבסטר באירופה.
אחרי התלבטות די ארוכה, נבנה המסלול הבא : זלזבורג, וינה, מינכן. את כל הנסיעות באירופה עשינו ברכבת.

היעד הראשון - זלצבורג.
הסיבה העיקרית שבגללה הגענו לזלצבורג, היה שווקי חג המולד אך אין ספק שזהו מקום קסום ששווה לבקר בו גם בלי קשר לעונה. כאן צולם הסרט "צלילי המוסיקה" וכאן נולד מוצארט.

Weekend trip to the north

שבוע שעבר נסעתי לטיול לצפון. התמונות צולמו במג'רסה, בריכת המשושים, הכירנת, צפת ומסעדת הטחנה, יאמ.

I'm back! (Part 2)

אז כמו שציינתי בפוסט הקודם, זה מה שעשיתי בשבוע שעבר, ביקרתי בלונדון!!!

אני כ"כ מאוהבת בעיר הזאת!! חבל שהיה לי כ"כ מעט זמן, חמישה ימים מספיקים רק לטעימה.

היו לי ציפיות מאוד גבוהות מהשופינג בלונדון, בירת הטופשופ, אבל כגודל הציפיה, גודל האכזבה... האמת, זה לא היה כזה דרמטי, פשוט היה מעט מאוד זמן והמון דברים לראות.
את הקניות העיקריות החלטתי לעשות באוקספורד סטריט, כיוון ששם ממוקמות רוב הרשתות המקומיות. טעות, טעות, טעות! הרחוב עמוס באנשים והחנויות ענקיות!!! לוקח שעתיים רק לראות את כל הבגדים בחנות ואם לוקחים מידה לא נכונה, אפשר לשכוח מהבגד. פעם הבאה כנראה...

So as I mentioned in the last post, here is what i did last week - went to LONDON!!!!

I am so in love with this city and I wish I had more time to explore it. Five days were definitely not enough.

I had very high expectations from the shopping in London and I guess when you build them so high, you are doomed for disappointment. Visiting London for the first time, there were plenty of places I wanted to see which left me with the tiniest, little period of time to do some shopping. Since I heard that most of the common brands are located at Oxford street (among them the biggest Topshop in the world if I am not mistaken!!!), I marked it as my shopping destination. Big mistake! The street is extremely crowded and the shops are HUGE!!! It takes about two hours only to see what's in the store. What happens when you get the wrong size? Just forget about it... Well, till next time I guess..

I'm back! (Part 1)

כיוון שנעדרתי כ"כ הרבה זמן, החלטתי לכתוב דיווח יסודי על מאורעות החודש האחרון.
טיילתי המון בשבועות האחרונים, בעיקר בזכות ביקורים של חברים מארה"ב. הם טיילו די הרבה לבד אבל חלק מהטיולים עשינו בחבורה.
המקום הראשון שנסענו אליו ביחד היה אילת -

I've been away for such a long time that I decided to make a thorough report of past months' events.
I managed to travel so much these past few weeks, mostly thank to the visit of our friends from the USA.
They did a lot of traveling by themselves, but some trips we did as a gang.
First, we went to the southern point of our country : Eilat -

רק לפני חמש שנים, החוף הזה היה המשכה של הכינרת. אפשר ממש "לראות" את ההתחממות הגלובלית...

Five years ago this sandy beach was all water... You can really "see" the global warming...
